A lil ride

Went for a little ride around Copenhagen today, had to get my girls something from this place. Harder than I thought it was going to be. Got this for my lil gromlin, don't worry groms, daddy is coming home soon, but first he has a gold medal to win.

Clear the mechanism

In order to clear my mind yesterday I decided to hop on a bus, catch a train and land my ass in Sweden. Yesterday me and a the nor cal boys all headed to Sweden for the day. It was pretty cool, just kind of exploring and not having any idea where we wanted to go, but just going. We ended up finding a summerfest going on and just walked around there for a bit, ate some food from germany, and an Australian kangaroo burger, eh, it was what it was. Malmo Sweden, was good to us, find some cool little shops, and it was good to clear the head.

Elites race today, so I am going to go over and give the American riders some support. Big day tomorrow, I have some work to do.

Eh

Well it's not exactly the blog that I wanted to write, but I have to get my head straight for Sunday. So today was class day (20 inch), started out great, I won my first two motos and was able to chill in my third round to save some legs for the quarters. Quarter main rolled up and I drew gate seven, no worries, gotta do work. Gate went down and I went to work, rode good and won that lap as well, on to the semis. Get seven again, alight. Came out of the gate and it happened, right out of the pedals. Went into the first corner about ten bike lengths behind the pack. Dug deep and fought back into 5th place, missing the main by one point. Lame. So yeah, sitting in the hotel, trying not to be bummed, but it's hard.

I'll get it figured out, pretty stoked to be where I am and know that I absolutely have the best family, friends, and support crew in the world. I'm going to do my damnedest to bring it home on Sunday.

Thanks so much for what everyone has done for me. Here is a pic from today of one my motos while doing what I came to do.

Practice pics

Here are some pics from practice today. We had some decent weather today so we rode all over the entire city today. This place is super rad, but I must say the drivers are batshit crazy. No yielding to pedestrians here, just get out of the way or you're going to the hospital. We went downtown, ate lunch on a street side cafe and just did some good ol people watching, good times.

We then told a ride to the "wrong" side of the river. I started with the graffiti, then the shanti shacks, then the plumes of smoke that looked like a gigantic BBQ, but no it was an entire community of stoners, this place was crazy. Dude had joints the size of baseball bats, dirty ass hippies anyway. There weren't any cameras allowed there, but I did manage to take a photo with my phone, I'll post that when I get home. We got out of there pretty quick, not my cup of tea, and we were warned about our bikes and pockets getting picked.

Tomorrow, we might go for an adventure. Stay

tuned.

Practice makes perfect

Today we finally got practice on the track, the US team was slated for an hour and a half. Now that sounds like a long time, but the way they run practice, and the length of time it takes to get to the starting hill from the finish line, it quiickly diminishes the time. I got five roll outs, and four gates. The track is awesome, big jumps, a gigantic starting hill, and super smooth. The one thing that is tricky is the triple step up into the first corner, the landing is gnarly steep, and we are all trying to figure out what's the best route, no biggie, I'll figure it out.

The rain came pretty hard right at the end of practice, so I quickly got out of there, but got totally soaked on the ride back to the hotel. Hooding for better weather for the upcoming days, but it's highly doubtful.

Te rain let up for a bit tonight so we took a walk to a pizzeria for dinner. We were very excited to get a plate of spaghetti for just over ten bucks. I had to laugh though, here were are eating Italian food in Copenhagen owned by a Pakistani, ha, kinda funny. Went to the grocery store to try and help combat food costs, nothing like shopping for food by pictures, I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to learning a language, so that's what I get.

Early morning practice in the morning, and maybe some touristy stuff.
Peace out

On the plane

Well I'm on the plane, finally. Had a few hiccups this morning and I think that the airport in Copenhagen is going to prove to be interesting. I guess the delta European union has a seventy pound limit on baggage, as in the lazy asses won't lift anything over seventy pounds. My bikes and big bag combined weigh in at 83 pounds. I re arranged a few things and got it down to 79 and hopefully it makes it there. I will figure out the return flight when I cross that bridge, not going to weigh my mind down with it.
Had a great dinner last night with the lake town boys, b2, the clifts, ma, and gramma. Missed my wifester and lil one though. They are having fun in Wyoming for the weekend.
So I will leave it at that, for the next sixteen hours or so I will be on a plane, hanging out, drinking water, and reading books. Plan is to read them and not bring them back, I will need some space for some hardware I plan on bringing back.
Later skaters!

Thanks for the Dollar.

Yesterday was a weird day. The wifester wrote me and said

"I think someone sent you anthrax"

me "what the hell"

wifester"you got an envelope with no return address"

me"open it"

wifester "if I die Im gonna kill you"

me "eh"

wifester "its a dollar bill"

So yeah, someone sent me dollar bill. At first I thought it was one of my retarded friends from SLC trying to be funny because they know I will be begging for food in Denmark in two weeks. But really I just laughed at it. But come to find out that my neighbor read the article in the paper about me a couple of weeks ago and she wanted to make sure I was sent off right. So she has went around with an addressed envelope for me and is asking for donations. This caught me totally off guard because I dont expect anything from anyone, so I thought it was cool. So she showed me the envelope and I told her we got one in the mail today. She was excited until she found out the amount. hahahahaha, a dollar bill.

No worries though, I mean, that dollar is like a chance, someone gave it to me and I am going to make the best of it. Wheels up in ten days, so it has been go time around the harmon household lateley.

Things went well at the SLC national, won cruiser both days and while leading class both days I went down. No major injuries though, so thats good. Im excited for the opportunity to represent the USA at the worlds and wont take the opportunity for granted.

The gromlin is just over eight months old now, and she rules the world! love her to death.

Went to Park city last weekend for a little get away. Rode some zip lines, an alpine slide, and a bob sled. It pretty much ruled. Had a good time minus the wifester getting sick. She is still tougher than me, even in her ill state.

The wife hooked me up with an IPAD 2, the 64 gb one, so now I have something to keep me even more distracted when she is talking to me, ha, thanks wife.

until next time, keep the rubber side down and the head up.
