PHX day one

Well I'm an early morning riser for th most part and the rest of my team, eh not really. So here I am hanging out in the lobby of our hotel which is super nice, drinking coffee and blogging. Good lord, I'm a nerd.

Last night we introduced our carbon bikes to the media. It was a pretty cool event off site from the track and hustle and bustle that goes along with it. I have to say, my team rules! It's nice to be able to travel with people and not want to beat on them. We had a nice chicken dinner on an outside patio and just talked about the bikes. I also ran into an old friend that I haven't seen in over 13 years as well.

This morning as I started to check the interwebs I ran across a story of a little fella that had a failing heart and last night at 1:30 am he passed away. I lost it. My heart hurts for complete strangers that have to wake up today knowing they lost their son. I can't even fathom their pain and wish them the most comfort possible during this time.

Do things with purpose. Love each other. Hold a door open for someone. Get out of the bus seat so a lady can have it. Never ride shotgun when a lady is in the car too, they get the front seat. Wear your seatbelts. Take a date night. Watch movies, make popcorn and eat chocolate graham crackers. Hug your little ones and your significant others. Wake your kid up to say goodbye. Over call your spouse. Call an old friend. Be better everyday. Ride with a purpose. Don't take life for granted.
Keep up homies.
