Thanks for the Dollar.

Yesterday was a weird day. The wifester wrote me and said

"I think someone sent you anthrax"

me "what the hell"

wifester"you got an envelope with no return address"

me"open it"

wifester "if I die Im gonna kill you"

me "eh"

wifester "its a dollar bill"

So yeah, someone sent me dollar bill. At first I thought it was one of my retarded friends from SLC trying to be funny because they know I will be begging for food in Denmark in two weeks. But really I just laughed at it. But come to find out that my neighbor read the article in the paper about me a couple of weeks ago and she wanted to make sure I was sent off right. So she has went around with an addressed envelope for me and is asking for donations. This caught me totally off guard because I dont expect anything from anyone, so I thought it was cool. So she showed me the envelope and I told her we got one in the mail today. She was excited until she found out the amount. hahahahaha, a dollar bill.

No worries though, I mean, that dollar is like a chance, someone gave it to me and I am going to make the best of it. Wheels up in ten days, so it has been go time around the harmon household lateley.

Things went well at the SLC national, won cruiser both days and while leading class both days I went down. No major injuries though, so thats good. Im excited for the opportunity to represent the USA at the worlds and wont take the opportunity for granted.

The gromlin is just over eight months old now, and she rules the world! love her to death.

Went to Park city last weekend for a little get away. Rode some zip lines, an alpine slide, and a bob sled. It pretty much ruled. Had a good time minus the wifester getting sick. She is still tougher than me, even in her ill state.

The wife hooked me up with an IPAD 2, the 64 gb one, so now I have something to keep me even more distracted when she is talking to me, ha, thanks wife.

until next time, keep the rubber side down and the head up.

I know its June, and thats about it.

(me and the grom)
Other than the fact that I know I have to run Ragnar tomorrow, June is just a month to get out of and have July be here. We have actually got to see the sun a couple of times so far, so we have that going for us. As far as updates.hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. well, we went to middle of nowhere Wyoming, it was actually a good trip, pretty quick and long, but good.

(my lil gromlin)

The grom now says momma, pretty cool, but deep down she likes me more, I can see it in her eyes. Two front bottom teeth are in, and still pretty much the coolest thing in the entire existence of anything!
Training is going pretty good. I am lacking in the sleep department, so for the next two weeks, I am going to make a goal to be in bed by 9:30 every night. Sounds early I know, but 4:45 comes early too when thats the time I get up to start training.

(Legacy Raceway)
I have been off fried food for about a month now. I miss potato chips, nothing else really.
The wifester is good, looking for some work, but she takes care of so much at home. She really makes my life easy.
BMX is good, practicing a bit, training, sprints, and training. ugh, training. I love it.

Yup, Worlds here I come.

A story. Went to California two weeks ago to try out for Team USA at the USA national championships. It went well. Here are some pictures.

This was our rig, full of bikes. thanks to Wheelzrack for hooking us up with the van to drive. It was great, even with the $500+ gas bill.

I traveled with these two yahoos. This was at the beach where we had a terrorist sighting.

We raced at the Olympic training facility in Chula Vista California. We were able to tour the facility with Arielle Martin, she's kind of a big deal.

This was our team set up, thank the maker because it was baking ass hot!

I look so serious. I guess thats what happens when you train for months for one very important event.

Trying to find my fast.......

Finding fast, in qualifying.

best freakin tacos ever, Ocean beach. This place was so rad.

Shannon Troglia with Vans shoes gave me some new race shoes. yusss!!!!!!!

Ended up third in the main event on my little bike, got a pretty sweet metal, broken back wheel on my big bike but still finished strong with a 6th. This qualified me for team USA, so I guess that means I will be going to Denmark in July for the World Championship, all while representing the U. S. A. Stoked! And a picture of my little gromlin with her custom hat. Love this little one so damn much!

a song that I can dance to

I am taking a note out of wifesters book and skipping blogs, because I can too.  Todays song I give you a song that I can dance to.  I can dance to this song because Christopher Walken does, and he is awesome.

boredom

Well I look at blogs everyday, but really lack a shit storm of motivation for writing down things that I think people would like to read. Eh, people dont really care, but I like to think they do, so here is an update.

The indoor season has come and gone, the last weekend of racing in the city of Salt was a painful
one, ended up crashing really hard and getting a slight concussion, it sucked. Happened on Saturday night, broke my helmet, and had to race on Sunday. Sunday came, I borrowed a helmet from my boy, and won. I don't really remember how, but I guess I pedaled more than the other guys. Here is a picture of my concussed-ness-ess.

(yup, Im concussed)

Went to Rock Springs a few weeks later for races. Won my class, took third in the Pro Am, made a couple hundred bucks. spent the couple hundred bucks on gas coming home, not really, but damn gas is effing expensive.

Work. Well, work is work and that's it really. Last week I drove to Winnemucca, Nevada to pick up a new rig. Then drove to SLC, then to Logan in one day. Took me 17 hours, it was a long day. But thankfully I had XM radio to keep me company, especially my new favorite radio show, the Jason Ellis show, amazingly hilarious.

(Jason Ellis)

Training, training, training, and more training. I have some stuff coming up soon, dont want to get into it, but I just hope it all pays off.

The grommet is doing amazing as well. She is a little chubbers, and I just love her. We have long conversations about nothing of importance, she always smiles when she sees me, we read some books, just love her to death.

(me and and gromlin)

Speaking of reading, I am reading the second round of Tucker Max. I dont recommend it to anyone. The guys is the biggest asshole in the world, but his stories are funny. If I saw him in person, I would probably throat punch him.
(funny, but inappropriate as all hell)

The wifester threw me a kickass birthday bash for my dirty thirty. we raced go karts, ate some good grub, and had a great time. My wifester is pretty much awesome. She also makes me sammies everyday, so I dont go without food.

(the crew)

Training, did I mention training? effing training.....................

If you care, you can always check out my website, www.jonasharmon.com, I do race reports there, and have some new photos up.

Til next time
